Expensive weekend

Sat Aug 15, 2009, 3:03 PM
travelled to Rotorua yesterday and as we were going around a roundabout there was a clunk, a rather loud clunk. We came to a halt thankfully just out of the round about but the car just died. The fly wheel or something like that that holds some belt tight has shattered and fallen off. Now have to track another down then get someone to fix it :(
An adult bird has fallen down the outside of the chimney into the inside cavity and cannot get out because there is such a small gap, husband is trying to see what he can do to free it.
The weather is horrible, raining and there is alot of dark mist over the Paeroa ranges. Just the type of weather to stay indoors and experiment.
Have to do some more baking today to keep the tins full for the next week, so on that note have a great weekend and catch you next time

Ah, the good ol' 'Naki; I love your photos of pukekura park. For the heck of it i searched it and found a gorgeous picture of the Japanese hill with the fountain in front.

TY
I still miss being in the 'Naki and being able to take photos of the mountain and the surf. here I am finding I can take photos of fog (most mornings) and frost (most mornings this past week or so) There are also some brilliant sky/cloud effects which I watch out for but am usually in the wrong place at the wrong time or don't have the camera with me.
Have fav'd teh KiwisUnite site, didn't know one existed, will now keep a watch out.
